Transactional Analysis
The form of therapy I practice is called Transactional Analysis, or TA. It is a popular type of psychotherapy and is used in clinical settings as well as being adapted for organisations and education. TA is a sophisticated and effective theory of personality and change. It has several features which make it my choice; it is simple to understand, potent, empowering and flexible.
Transactional Analysis is Simple to Understand
TA uses language that is simple and accessible; Parent, Adult, Child, Stroke, Games, Script. Familiar words used to describe how you are thinking, feeling and behaving mean you can begin to make sense of your situation quickly and easily.
Transactional Analysis is Potent
TA takes the positive position that everyone has intrinsic value and worth. There is absolute belief in your value as a person and your potential for growth and change.
Transactional Analysis is Empowering
In TA therapy you are an active participant, given the respect, support and resources you need to succeed.
Transactional Analysis is Flexible
TA therapy is not a rigid process you are put through, but rather a journey of discovery, with your therapist as a guide, offering you various routes that would get you to your chosen destination. You choose which route and when you are ready to go.
Please phone or e-mail if you have any questions about Transactional Analysis and I will do my best to answer you.WEIGHT: What's in it for you?Course details to follow soon.
